Join us for the first ever fully improvised comedy show at the Royal Hotel!

THURSDAY 6TH NOVEMBER

L.A.P.D. Improv are Southend’s own unique take on improv comedy. Much like the style made famous on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, they will take inspiration from audience suggestions to create scenes and sketches, but with a police twist. Exercises involving crime reconstruction, press conferences and criminal escapism among others will all take place in the first half.
In the second half, you might as well name it “Whose Line of Duty Is It Anyway?”, as they will take more audience suggestions and proceed to create an entirely made up police drama.

L.A.P.D. Improv formed in 2022 - the show will be taking place on their third year anniversary! All group members are alumni of Southend’s Laughter Academy. They are David Jervis-Green, an actor who founded the group, Rob Glenister, a musical madman and our newest officer, Pip Gatley, a NHS midwife and character comedian extraordinaire, and Ashley Edwards, stand-up comedian and host of Southend Pride.
L.A.P.D. Improv have performed regularly in Southend and London and have attracted a strong following in the community. Join us on the 6th November to be a part of that community in their biggest show to date.
Audience members have described the show as:
“Consistently hilarious & brilliant improv comedy fun with a police twist - What’s not to like?”
“Always devolves into utter nonsense and I am very thankful for that”
"Great crew, great fun, wall to wall laughter. Highly recommend!"
Tickets are £9.00 in advance
£9.99 on the door (cash or PayPal only)
It would be a crime to miss this!
