Darren has been awarded The National Tribute Award 2013 from the Agents association for his amazingly accurate tribute to Simply Reds, Mick Hucknall.
Darren has been performing as Mick since 1991 after appearing on, and winning, his heat in Granada Television’s “Stars In Their Eyes”. Darrens vocal tribute was hailed as “exceptional” and is often mistaken for the real thing.
Darren as Mick Hucknall is still the UKs number 1 tribute to the pop legend. Our Simply Red tribute act has perfected the mannerisms and the unique sound of Simply Red and that is what makes our Simply Red tribute better than all the rest. Our Simply Red Tribute Show includes all the hit songs including ‘More’, ‘You’ve Got It’, ‘Every time We Say Goodbye’ & ‘Holdin Back the Years’ and many more fabulous Simply Red classics from both of Mick’s multi award winning albums.
Performing live at many venues across the UK and abroad over the years has given him great experience working with every type of audience.

Deposits & Cancellations
All bookings require a £10 per person to secure each ticket. Final payment and menu choices are required 30 days prior to show date. Deposits per person will be forfeited should you decide to cancel your booking or party members fail to attend. Should a customer choose either to cancel in advance or not attend, regardless of the reason, it is the Royal Hotel’s policy that the deposit or full payment is not refunded. Also, a customer deposit cannot be transferred to offset part of another customer’s bill.
